My name is Elena Grot and I am the “teddy bear and doll mom” behind Kleine Liebchen. I studied Mathematics and Physics to become a teacher, followed by a second degree in International Business Administration.
But numbers and formulas are not everything in life. Everyone needs a passion.
While looking for a creative balance in my life, I discovered the wonderful world of art dolls and figures. It all began in 2014 with a simple felt figure. Over time, my creations became more elaborate and increasingly detailed.
In 2015, I created my first real doll. Everything about my dolls is handmade; nothing is simply bought ready-made. Even their faces are individually sculpted and are never made from a mold.
After experimenting with sculpting dolls and working with felt, I began exploring other materials as well. This led me to create miniature teddy bears and other little fabric animals.
My first teddy bears were made from purchased patterns. Later, I developed and created my own patterns.
Every little figure is unique – a true OOAK (one of a kind). Each one is sewn entirely by hand, expressly without using a sewing machine, comes with its own certificate, and is never made a second time.
During that year, the teddy bears became so numerous that I created their very own “teddy bear family”.
Here on my website, you can discover some of my “Kleine Liebchen”. Unfortunately, I cannot show every figure I have created over the years.
By now, they would need their own database to keep all their “birth certificates” and photographs properly registered.
There are simply too many. Their number has grown well beyond a thousand, and there is still no end in sight. I have many more ideas waiting to be brought to life.
And every new idea seems to inspire another one … Alongside my work and family, I simply need enough time to bring them all to life.

We are the Kleine Liebchen – OOAK dolls, miniature teddy bears, felt and cotton figures. Our “doll and teddy bear mom” Elena creates us with lots of love, patience and careful handcraftsmanship.
No two of us are alike. We each have our own face, our own clothing and our very own character. Much of what we wear is also sewn, crocheted or knitted by hand.
Some of us are made from felt, others from fabric, mohair or pure wool. Our doll faces are sculpted individually and never come from a mold. That is why every Kleine Liebchen is truly one of a kind.
And our family keeps growing – because our mom is certainly not running out of ideas.
